“Live for today, capture for tomorrow”.
Angelina Hills Ribet was born and raised in Hawaii on the island of Maui. Throughout her journey she has developed a strong emotional embrace to all the blessings that have accompanied living in an environment surrounded by exquisite beauty. Beauty is the key encompassing word when it comes to the thread of light and color that flows through Angelina’s life.
Not only is she a beautiful woman inside and out, she embodies this beauty as the rainbows of Hawaii’s tropical landscape channel through her and into our world. It is through her work that we get to glimpse her inner magnificence as the unique expression of her individuality is clearly articulated throughout all of her creations.
The birth of her creative influence can be traced back to her childhood, primarily in her Waldorf education. From the ages of 3-13 she was excited by Waldorf’s imaginative and artistic teachings. It was within her newfound love for art that Angelina was to find the pulse of her own beating heart. A wonderful environment that nurtured the garden of roses that was later to blossom into the presence of a caring, compassionate, and highly creative being.
Life certainly wasn’t always all sunshine and rainbows, she had to overcome many obstacles within her environment and within herself to arise into the person she is today.
Throughout high school and college her love for art began to take a backseat. Her focus shifted from the comforts of Waldorf’s artistic encouragement and into the more conventional academic world. It wasn’t until after she graduated that she began to search for happiness over social conformity. She moved to Australia, and started to set time aside to explore her inward artistic identity, this time through the medium of photography. The striking imagery revealed through her lens brought in a new found inspiration, illuminating a love for life from within. Angelina decided she was happiest soaking in the sunshine and returned to her homeland of Hawaii bringing with her the ambition to live on her own terms, and through her own light. Upon returning home she quickly got a job within the field of her passion for photography. For several years she apprenticed as an assistant wedding photographer, absorbing and learning as much as she could. In 2005 she felt prepared to take her career into the next phase by becoming a professional in her field birthing the creation of her very own business Aloha Portraits. Having Entrepreneur parents had inspired her to become an Entrepreneur herself. Through following her true desire she was rewarded with excitement for life and greeted with the appreciation she received back from her clients allowing her work to become less of a job and more of a priceless and fulfilling experience. Angelina’s gift is discovered by capturing life and people in a way that makes them appreciate themselves more. In capturing beautiful memories, she allows us to remember who we are throughout the most joyful moments in our lives.

In staying true to the course of her own self expression she not only captures beautiful photographs of people but also the glory of the natural world that surrounds us. Many of these gorgeous reflections of mother earth’s masterpieces have been printed onto large canvas’s, clothing, or accompanying your everyday accessories.

Angelina has become her own creation. A promising artist with a successful business. It was through following her passion and positive mindset that she has set out to accomplish her dreams.
In all of her achievements, anyone who has met Angelina would bare witness to her most treasured creation being the loving mother of three lovely children. A beautiful family of smiling happy human beings.
